In 1988, Woodcrest House was opened by the Brenner family as a 12-room assisted living residence. Originally built in 1820, the building is listed on the National Registrar of Historic Landmarks. Sparked by a personal need for an elderly family member, Woodcrest was founded on the premise that personal care and services in a warm and residential setting can provide greater independence, individuality and self-esteem. Many years later, there was a need within the surrounding communities to offer its services to a larger group of individuals including those needing memory care. In 1996, the building was renovated and expanded to provide additional residents with modern amenities while still maintaining its original character and charm. Today, the residence is now named, Woodcrest Village, to symbolize the importance of community. Now with over 15 years of experience in the assisted living business, Woodcrest Village continues to operate on the original principles it was founded upon. Together, we help to foster independence, nurture spirit and encourage family and community involvement. |
